2021 Save the Nation Conference
On Friday, October 8th, patriots from northeast PA as well as international visitors concerned about the loss of freedom in their nations, gathered to hear a powerful lineup of conservative speakers during the 3rd annual “Save the Nation Conference,” which was held at the Sanctuary Church in Newfoundland.
Former CIA operations officer Sam Faddis talked about the impact of 2020 election irregularities will have on our national political discourse going forwards. Cheryl Chumley, Managing Editor of The Washington Times Online edition, spoke about the need for all of us to speak out against the leftist attack on our freedoms and to pass onto our children a knowledge of the Biblical worldview and American history.
Local Our Town publishers Bob and Dorothy Bierle pitched us on their efforts to launch the Second Church of the Immaculate Constitution. Republican candidate for Pennsylvania Lt. Governor Rick Saccone discussed how America’s moral decline is in direct correlation to our separation from God. 8thCongressional District for Congress Teddy Daniels inveighed against the leftist narrative, saying “the insurrection took place on November 3, not January 6. Never in the history of the world has an unarmed group gathered to protest been called an Insurrection.” As Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense, “if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so my children won’t have to fight.”
Dr. John Lott, founder/director of the Crime Prevention Research Center, explained how gun control makes it more difficult for low-income citizens to obtain firearms to protect their businesses and their families. He stated, “you end up disarming the most vulnerable people, law-abiding citizens. This makes it easier for criminals to commit crimes. It’s law-abiding people who turn in their guns, not criminals.”
Founder of the 2019 Movement, Dr. Joseph Green, gave a fascinating talk about honoring and protecting “God’s DNA.” He explained, “we are in a fight for the image of God. We are being reconciled back to God’s original plan and purpose. As we are procreating, we are promoting the image of the Creator.” Leftists, who want to divide the races and undermine the institution of natural marriage, must be confronted.
Pastor Gary Haskell, Senior Pastor of the Jackson Baptist Church, decried the fact that there are still Americans abandoned by the Biden administration in Afghanistan. Many preachers are afraid to clearly speak about the sins of our leaders. If we persevere during these difficult times, God will be with us.
Rev. Dan Fisher, author of “Bringing Back The Black Robed Regiment,” spoke movingly about the ministers who galvanized support for the American Revolution among their congregants and in many cases, led them into battle.
Rev. Dr. Robert Walters, pastor of Johnson Baptist Church, stated “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” When the Puritans arrived on land in what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts, they kneeled down and thanked God. Elites in the United States are controlling the dominant narrative in our nation, but there is a higher power that we must honor and defend.
The conference was ably led by the Mistress of Ceremonies, Kellyann Pidgeon, founder of Armed and Feminine. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the knowledge gained that day and their determination to do their part to “save the nation!”
Dear Robert:
You did it!
For the first time in history, the Pennsylvania General Assembly will send Constitutional Carry (SB 565) to the Governor's desk.
On Tuesday, November 16th, the PA House voted to pass SB 565 on a 107-92 vote. Please click here to see how your Representative voted. If they voted in favor of SB 565, please thank them. If they voted against it, contact them to respectfully express your displeasure.
Anti-gun Democrats worked overtime to Christmas tree the Constitutional Carry bill with every anti-gun amendment under the sun.
Representative Dan Frankel (D-23), and other Democrats, offered several anti-gun amendments which would have added things like mandatory waiting periods, firearms licensing, Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders, and lock up your safety laws (to name a few).
Most of the anti-gun amendments were ruled out of order by House Speaker, Bryan Cutler (R-100). Pro-gun stalwart, Representative Aaron Bernstine (R-10) offered a motion and tabled the rest of them.
SB 565 is now on its way to Governor Wolf's desk where he has promised a swift veto.
Governor Wolf needs to hear from you, regardless of his poison pen. We cannot allow him to veto Constitutional Carry without gun owners expressing their support for SB 565 and urging him to sign it. And we need to let him know that the blame will rest on his shoulders as well as the Democratic gubernatorial candidate who will follow him.
So, please click here to send a message to Governor Wolf today and urge him to sign Constitutional Carry into law. Regardless of the outcome, this is a pro-gun victory for Pennsylvania GOA members and supporters. It was your efforts that got SB 565 passed and put on the Governor's desk.
In Liberty,
Dr. Val Finnell
Pennsylvania Director
Gun Owners of America
P.S. Please send a message toyour state senator to pass both SB 565 and SB 448via

CANCELING THE CANCEL-CULTURE
By Kelly Pidgeon
A crisp, cloudy fall morning with the unmistakable scent of autumn foliage and the frigid dew on the grass in Greeley, Pennsylvania served to remind me of both the colorful beauty that we enjoy as free Americans and of the struggle our founders knew they would have to endure during the long northern winters fighting tyranny and the harsh cold to form this great nation. Like the myriad of colors and shapes of the foliage, patriots of all backgrounds and races gathered at the Rod of Iron Freedom Festival to celebrate the freedom bestowed upon us all by God and reflected in this nation’s founding documents. Much like those minutemen who repelled tyranny and succeeded in battling in the world’s only truly successful revolution all those years ago, a new, diverse group of patriots - heirs of those brave souls who fought and died to form this nation - gathered to preserve our precious Republic.
As the cars began to roll into the Kahr Arms headquarters, everyone arriving knew they were attending a festival like no other, a gathering of people of all backgrounds linked together by the desire to protect our God-given right to keep and bear arms. Walking to the festival area, seeing the vendors, the tents, the red white and blue displayed proudly on flags, jackets and t-shirts, the sounds of the bands like Dave Bray USA and my little band, Boats Against the Current, doing their sound checks, or the roster amazing speakers’ names like Dana Loesch, displayed on the digital billboard at the main tent, it was no doubt going to be a weekend of fellowship, and well, let’s be honest, a kick-ass gathering of people who make America great.
I’ve attended each of the three festivals since its inception, and what started as a seemingly obscure gathering of folks has already begun to blossom into a tremendous, nationally recognized event. Watching Pastor Sean Moon deliver fire and truth about the divine intervention that created this great experiment in self-government reminded us all that the Lord gave us this opportunity. It’s up to us to defend it. Pastor Dan Fisher took us all back to the founding. Dressed in period-correct clothing, he showed us that patriots and pastors were not mutually exclusive, but instead, intertwined. Men of the cloth in revolutionary times knew that defending freedom was not just a job, but an obligation placed on all people More importantly, the Pastor Dan’s message was clearly reaffirmed that freedom is God’s plan. Tyranny is Satan’s.
Of course, the crowd packed the tent when radio talker Dana Loesch took to the stage. Her message was a verbal modern-day Gadsden flag. She drove home the message of the festival that our right to keep and bear arms will never be cancelled as long as there are patriots willing to defend it.
Finally, let’s spend a moment or two on the word, “cancelled.” What a horribly Satanic and Marxist concept. It goes against everything Jesus stands for. Our Lord Jesus Christ is about redemption of sinners through faith. If the evils of cancel culture would have prevailed in John 4:13, the Samaritan woman been stoned and tossed in the well, but instead, Jesus said essentially, drinking from the fountain of faith will bring eternal life. Cancelled is a word meant to be menacing and to create fear. The aim is, of course, to deter us from exercising our freedoms. But, rest assured, cancel culture picked the wrong crowd, here. This growing coalition of like-minded patriots…Americans is finding strength and resolve against leftist cancel culture thuggery. The Rod of Iron Freedom Festival is certainly taking some shots from the main stream media trying to do their best to spin and cancel. That tells me that the festival is making waves and reaching a larger audience. It’s actually a blessing, because outlets like Vice and others are giving us free advertising on a national level. As I told Pastor Sean, “let them say what they want, as long as they spell your name correctly!”
