The 18th century American rebel spirit was infused with the sentiment that the colonists served but one monarch. As a British-appointed governor noted:

( References are difficult to tie down for this, apparently, as there is some difference of opinion on this quote but it appears to have been reported by Sir Richard Sutton, referring to a report from a Board of Trade Governor to America. Likewise, when British Major Pitcairn shouted to an assembled regiment of Minutemen: “Disperse, ye villains, lay down your arms in the name of George the Sovereign King of England." Rev. Jonas Clark responded:
We recognize no Sovereign but God and no Jesus! (This is usually attributed to Rev. Jonas Clarke at Concord’s Common, but there is some question about that as well. Regardless, this was apparently a common attitude and was part of the Black Robed Regiment’s core arguments. Although America has seriously strayed from her godly roots, God has not let go of this special nation. It is because the American Revolution was centered on noble values that Americans still have the right to bear arms. The purpose for which we use something determines if God or Satan has power over it. Weapons are power, or force multipliers. When we use guns for a righteous purpose, such as freedom from tyranny and protection of liberty, then God has authority over them.
The reason why Christ gives us the ends of the earth for our possession in Psalm 2:8 (From the King James’ Bible “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession”) is not so we can be egoists, but so we can exercise responsible stewardship on his behalf. When men and women of God have the earth as their possession, bearing the Rod of Iron, the wicked tyrants of the world will have to fear. “Sheepdogs” bearing arms bring consternation to the wolves, but they bring comfort to the sheep. They shield the people who know God and recognize His voice.
As children of God, we are called to take dominion over the Rod of Iron, not to idolize it. We are grateful for the accoutrements of the Crown and the Rod of Iron, given tous by God, but we do not worship them. We worship God, and we are grateful for the sovereignty and authority He has given to us.
On Sunday, July 26,50 people assembled in front of the Milford Courthouse for the We the People Rally for Life event hosted by the Freedom, Faith and Family Coalition, Freedom Patriots and Rod of Iron Ministries. Families from different Christian parishes with pregnant mothers and young children celebrated the Supreme Court ruling that struck down the constitutional protection of abortion and now allow the states to set their own laws regulating the procedure.
Guest speakers included Pastor Barney Wilkins from the Bethel Community Baptist Church who shared his story how his father wanted him to be aborted and how his mother had the courage toc hoose life and provide a loving upbringing as a single parent.
Mr. Christopher Bell, President and CEO of Good Counsel Homes, a nationally recognized nonprofit leader and innovator for providing residential care and community services for homeless, expectant, and new mothers and their children, spoke about the support services they have provided for over 25 years. Locally, their assistance in the Bronx, Staten Island, Rockland County and Philadelphia areas, has led to helping over 8,000 new mothers with shelter, counseling, education, and employment opportunities.
Jim Bognet, Republican Congressional nominee representing the 8t district discussed the legislative battle to support life and support family services.
We the People Rally for Life issued a Pro-Life Declaration that was signed by all members attending stating the following:
1. Life begins at conception.
2. Without the right to life, no other individual rights are possible.
3. Women with unplanned pregnancies must receive support, family resources, and options for adoption.
4. We advocate for pro-life legislation at the state level.
5. And we believe that every human being is a gift from God, created in His image and likeness.
Further, We the People support SB956 / HB 2252 which is a common-sense Constitutional Amendment which would ensure that there would be no taxpayer funding of abortion in PA and would keep abortion out of the PA Constitution.
The rally for life concluded with a silent march representing the voiceless baby in the womb and a photoshoot of mothers with their children in front of the courthouse followed by the singing God Bless America.

Spinning Pro-Christian To MeanAnti-Gay

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on how being pro-Christian is being interpreted as being anti-gay:
The media, educators, activists, and government figures are increasingly branding those who hold to a Christian understanding of marriage—the union between a man and a woman—as being anti-gay. Unable to persuade rationally, resort to labeling Christian sexual ethics (which was taken from Judaism)as an expression of bigotry. This is flagrantly obscene.
This sick game has been going on for some time. Here's a short list of examples.
· December 2013: A&E suspends "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson for calling homosexuality a sin.
· April 2014: Rev. Franklin Graham is labeled by a Washington Post writer as "anti-gay" for opposing gay couples adopting children.
· April 2018: Gay activist Michelangelo Signorile says CIA Director Mike Pompeo should be disqualified from being Secretary of State because he does not believe in same-sex marriage.
· August 2018: Baseball player Daniel Murphy is called "anti-gay" by a USA Today reporter because he disagrees with the "gay lifestyle."
· September 2018: Family Research Council's annual "Values Voter Summit" is branded "anti-gay" by nbcnews.com for defending traditional marriage and criticizing "gender ideology."
· January 2019: Immanuel Christian School in Springfield, Virginia, where Vice President Mike Pence's wife said she would return as a teacher, is labeled "anti-gay" because it rejects gay marriage.
· April 2019: New York Daily News criticizes Samaritan's Purse, a Christian-based organization run by Rev. Franklin Graham that offered free medical care to COVID-stricken New Yorkers, as an "anti-gay" outfit because it believes in traditional marriage.
· July 2019: Rubén Diaz, a leader in the Hispanic community in New York City, is charged by the New York Times as making a "homophobic" remark for saying homosexuality is sinful behavior.
· February 2022: Fernando Cabrera, who holds a Ph.D. in Counseling, and was chosen by New York City Mayor Eric Adams to head the Office of Community Mental Health, was denied the job because he is against abortion and gay marriage; LGBT activists stopped him from getting that job (but not another one).
· March 2022: Rev. Kathryn Barrett-Layne, an appointee of Mayor Adams, was seen as "anti-gay" by the New York Times because she wrote a book saying homosexuality is a sin.
· March 2022: Erick Salgado, an appointee of Mayor Adams, had to be spoken to by Adams because he opposes same-sex marriage.
· March 2022: Gilford Monrose, another Adams appointee, was denounced as "anti-gay" by the New York Times for disagreeing with the "gay lifestyle."
It's gotten so bad that even a conservative newspaper, the New York Post, calls anyone who believes in traditional marriage "anti-gay."
Most of these zealots would ban the Bible if they could. Perversely, they are the ones who are acting like bigots, not faithful Christians.
We don't call those who disagree with Catholicism "anti-Catholic." We reserve that appellation for people like Trevor Noah and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, both of whom earned their stripes by making patently anti-Catholic comments. Gay writers and sympathizers ought to be just as careful in discussing Christians who simply hold to traditional views of marriage.
